Happy New Year!
I just wanted to take a quick second to say HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone!

Things that make me happy about Austin tonight:
1) Driving by the Zilker Tree in my neighborhood. It’s an Austin tradition that I love SO much.
2) UT won the bowl game which means the UT tower is bright orange tonight. Another fun thing to drive by and admire. (P.S.- Hook ‘em Horns!!)
3) Getting to spend some quality time with Elizabeth and Carson. I’ll get to see these two tomorrow also but it was nice getting to...

Denver really needs to get on the ball with the whole private karaoke room situation. It is one thing that the city is seriously lacking.
In other news, I had a friggin’ blast tonight and really remembered why I miss my Austin friends so much. They’re the greatest people, and private karaoke rooms are always a good time.

Crowdsourcing
I got a new MacBookPro for Xmas and I need to transfer all of my files and programs (Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, etc) over. Is it possible to go to the Mac store and have them transfer all of it over for you or do I have to reinstall all of my applications from CD and files from my external hard drive?
(ETA: My old computer is a MacBook too.)

Oh.My.God.
Jeff walked outside of his office on the 16th St. Mall to make a phone call and a bum came up and punched him in the face!
Seriously!
Apparently the bum said, “hey, are you talking about me?” and Jeff said, “uh, no? I’m on the phone,” and the bum got up in his face and punched him in the eye and then ran off.
WHAT?! Does that happen?

I’m writing my last major paper of the semester right now. It’s 20 pages, single spaced, not including appendices and works cited. I’m about 3/4 of the way done and am completely lacking motivation to finish the last few sections.

I finally saw the Muppets!
And it was AWESOME and I can’t wait to see it again. Maybe I can take my niece when I’m home for Xmas.
Note: The 7 year old sitting behind us didn’t like it or didn’t “get” it. She left feeling “meh.” I guess 7 year olds don’t know about the Muppets? Whatever. I loved it.

Several of my friends and I are going to see the Nutcracker ballet tonight and I am very excited. It’s making these last few hours of studying today feel extra brutal!
I have seen the Nutcracker ballet approximately 22 times in my 28 years. It’s a part of the holiday season that I look forward to most.

Using paint pens when it’s too cold to open windows is probably not a good idea.
