I absolutely love my friends.
I love them for a million reasons, but this is one really good example. My friends know that I’m so obsessed with cute animals that they would actually take the time to stop on the street after sighting a cute sleeping cat, pull out their phone, and take the time to send me this picture. Yes, I needed to see this. It’s amazing. Thanks, Elizabeth, for knowing just how much I’d appreciate it. :)
Click the picture to enlarge it. Seriously. Worth it.
Happy weekend!
It’s a perfect afternoon at City Park and I hate to leave, but it’s time to get this Memorial Day Weekend started right. Off to the breweries.
Wow. Y’all be careful on the roadways this weekend.
In the span of four exits on I-25, I saw NINE police cars who had pulled over speeders.
Law enforcement is officially out and about for the holiday weekend. Be safe.
Seriously though.
Lazy Friday morning with these guys is the absolute BEST.

Jeff and I went to a friend’s party last night. It was a backyard barbecue and there were about 40 or 50 people there, but the only person we knew was the hostess (who, of course, was busy hosting the whole night and didn’t really have a lot of time to talk to us). So, we tried to mingle… sort of… a little bit.
Mostly we made friends with this dog, Jasper, who randomly showed up with his owner (who I didn’t even catch the name of).
Anyway, normal stuff, ya know. At a party, hanging out with the one animal there instead of all of the humans.
This dog was awesome though.
Jeff gave me strict instructions to take care of myself today because I can’t quite shake this cold I’ve had.
I’m taking his advice to heart and having the most enjoyable morning ever: lounged up in the guest bedroom, watching So You Think You Can Dance, with two fluffy nurses keeping me company.
I think I’ll feel better in no time.
At-Home Core Workout:
- 15 V-Ups
- 25 Crunches
- 20 Leg Lifts
- Bicycles to failure
- Plank to failure
Repeat this circuit 3-5 times. Remember, QUALITY over quantity.. it’s better to get less quality reps in than all the reps but half-hearted! Use slow and controlled movements and remember to breathe out when contracting. Squeeze HARD at the top of each movement. Failure means literally until you physically cannot perform another repetition with proper form.
Adding this and a few Yoga Abs to my routine. It is amazing how much work can be done with so little reps
Keeping this for reference. Being sick for over a week has meant I have completely avoided all exercise lately. My cold is finally wearing off though so it’s time to get back on it!
Most lists of “lifechanging ways to use everyday objects” are mostly unhelpful or fairly well-known tips or not that exciting (or not useful to the normal human being!).
But this? Using a can opener to open the stubborn plastic packaging? Oh my gosh. LIFE CHANGER, indeed. That is genius.

I was really cool. I bet you didn’t know that. Just check out that swagger.
(PS- Feel better TB!)
My mom fulfilled a lifelong dream today and I am SO excited for her.
Congrats, Mom!
Well, that trip was utterly unsuccessful and a bummer.
I decided to treat myself to a late sushi lunch though, so at least I have that going for me.
